Japan’s acclaimed photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto has been following in the footsteps of 19th Century photography pioneer Henry Fox Talbot.

Like Talbot, Sugimoto works at the intersection of art and science. He has scaled up postive images of Talbot’s original unstable negatives are startlingly like paintings.
